This was my first cruise and my husband's first where he didn't have to work on the ship (he was in the Navy!) and we had a great time! I will do my best to capture our experience on the Caribbean Princess from 4/21-4/27. It's a bit long so be prepared!

Saturday, 4/19 - Arrival into FLL airport from Atlanta was on time and painless. I booked a room at the Embassy Suites in FLL on 17th street using Hilton Honors Points. Cab fare for the two of us was $9 before tip. Although check-in was officially at 3pm, we were given a room upon our arrival at 1pm. Had a nice room on the 9th floor that overlooked the pier where the CB would dock the next day. DH and I really liked this hotel. It was clean, quiet and had complimentary happy hour drinks (beer, wine and liquor) every night from 5:30-7:30. They also provided a complimentary breakfast with omelets to order every morning. This hotel was within walking distance to a CVS, Publix, Total Wine and many restaurants.

Sunday, 4/20 -Awoke to the sight of the mighty CB docked outside of our window. She made the other ships look like dwarfs in comparison! DH and I departed the hotel via cab ($8 round trip) at around 12:30. Embarkation was a BREEZE!! Arrived and got in line at 12:45 and we were in our room by 1:20. Luggage arrived shortly before the muster drill which was at 4:15ish. Muster was over quickly and was no biggie.
