First of all, my husband and I have been on approximately 10 cruises with NCL,Royal,Princess and Celebrity. We were not sure what to expect as I read this was an older smaller ship. We got to the port around 1:00 and it was very quick to get on. They were offering free champagne which was a nice touch even though I hate the stuff. We went to our room and it was very nice and modern. The bathroom was quite roomy as well as the shower. They provided free, good quality shampoo and hand cream in dispensers. The only problem we had was after the second day they only gave us one facecloth for the two of us and I had to call for extras. After doing this a few times I asked what the problem was and our cabin boy told us they ran out and everyone on our side was getting only one facecloth also, which I thought was weird. Anyways, we had lots of storage room for two people. This was the first time without our kids on a cruise, sharing an inside room, so it was nice having the extra space. The beds were comfy but the pillows were a little hard. They also provide 2 umbrellas and housecoats for your personal use. So after checking our room we went off to get lunch and explore the ship. They had disinfecting wipes to clean our hands which I thought was more wasteful and messy than the liquid dispensers they usually have on other ships. The breakfast and lunch buffets were great. Lots of variety, pasta and stir fry made to order, sushi bar, pizza, ice cream, and outside grill plus free juices anytime. We never had a problem finding a table. Pool deck was ok, nothing special. The hottubs were in the open sun and closed way too early, at 8 at night. The band also had to play in the blaring sun, which I felt was cruel. THE SHOWS AND ENTERTAINMENT: Celebrity singers did their best but did not really like them. Micheal James was really good and Rich Ceisler was funny. The poolside band Xstasea was not the best but alright for poolside tunes. Usually went to bed after the show so not sure how the rest of the entertainment was. SHORE EXCURSIONS: Jamaica-We were the only ship docked here which felt strange, no crowds. We went river tubing in the afternoom on White River, which I really enjoyed and would recommend if you've already seen Dunns River Falls. You probably could do both if you went early in the morning. Grand Cayman-We took the stingray swimming tour and that was really fun as well. You must do this at least once in your lifetime. MAIN DINING ROOM: Very good quick service and very good food. No complaints here except that we requested a table for 2 and were put at a table with 2 other couples. We made the best of it. OVERALL: We had a great time and the ship is pretty nice, newer carpets and renovated rooms. Missed having a promenade deck to walk all around the ship. Debarkation was the best ever. We were off the ship at 8:00 AM.
