All of our previous cruises had been on larger ships, so we were a little apprehensive about what to expect on the Majesty of the Seas. We travelled to Miami via Ft. Lauderdale, based on all of the positive reviews we read on this site we booked a room at the Courtyard Marriott Ft. Lauderdale Beach. I must say that this hotel was great. We arrived at the hotel around noon and were pleasantly surprised to find that they had a room waiting for us with an awesome view of the Intercostal Waterway.

Tired from our 6:00 am flight from Kansas City, we ate a quick lunch at Bubba Gumps which is located directly adjacent to the hotel and then decided to take a nap to get ready for a fun night in Ft. Lauderdale.

The hotel is in a great location, directly across the street from the beach. We used the water taxi and did some sightseeing and shopping. Read more
