This was a spring break trip for my 17 year old son Bryce and I (his "older than 17 yr. old" mom). I have cruised 8 times previously and Bryce just 1 other time. We needed a get-a-way, so although dad could not get away from work for this trip, the price was right and we decided to head out for a great time!

We left Detroit heading to Orlando (way to early)on Wednesday morning. We arrived with no problems and headed to the Days Hotel Maingate. This hotel is currently being renovated and the rooms were wonderful. The pool area was also wonderful. However, the rest had a lot of work still to be done. During our stay, we enjoyed a dinner and show at Medieval Times and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! On Friday morning we jumped in the rental car and headed to Miami. This was an easy 3 hour drive. We returned the car to Alamo and took their free shuttle to the ship.

THE SHIP: Finally at about 10:45 a.m, we arrived at the Majesty of the Seas. It actually looked kind of small as we rode up to it so I was slightly worried. Embarking was a breeze and by 11:15 we were sitting in the Windjammer for breakfast/lunch. The ship was so clean and so pretty and in great condition! I was very impressed! We were not allowed to go to the cabin until 1:00 (and they were serious about the 1:00!) I tried to go back there at 12:50 and the guy said..."No one can enter until 1:00!" (That cracked me up-he he) We did eventually get to the cabin and it was my first inside cabin. It was TINY. It was clean though and that is most important to me. Bryce dropped his bag and headed out in search of teens. (and did boy did he find some....69 high school dance team girls!!!!
