This is one of the best ways to see Hawaii. A great itinerary. Live spouting volcanoes at night, the Napali Coast complete with whales, dolphins, and rainbows. Big waves, black and white sandy beaches, palm trees, waterfalls, lots of sunshine and breathtaking sunsets. The beauty of Hawaii and the true spirit of Aloha follows you everywhere you travel...off the ship. This is the worst ship and crew I have ever encountered and I have taken 11 cruises with 5 other lines and 12 overseas deployments on USN ships.

Food and Beverage - If your palate leans towards MickeyD's and Denny's you may enjoy the food - cheap meat as in tough steaks (Steakhouse) and fatty, dried chicken (East Meets West). The pasta was overcooked, the cutlets dry and cold, the sauces were scant and tasteless(Italian Restaurant). The shakes were good at the Cadillac Dinner. Some food items had the taste of being cooked days in advance. Some desserts tasted like they took on the flavor of everything else in the refrigerator,..ick. Food at the Cafe (buffet)was dried up or swimming in grease (breakfast items were greasy and cold). Breakfast gets old by day 3. Stay away from the Eggs Benedict station....it's e-coli waiting to happen. Dirty dishes and silverware abound. Don't even look at the serving utensils..ick again.

Service in all of the restaurants we tried and the Skyline and Liberty dining rooms is fair to poor. Drink orders were wrong or missed completely, service staff had to be hunted down for drinks in the pool area, saloon, and Pink's Champagne Bar (one night we watched a server and bartender hold hands and steal kisses and back rubs, we left after 20 minutes and ordered room service (that's the way to go, fast no attitude but still inferior food. The service staff in East Meets West (forgot to serve one of our party completely, missed sake and appetizer orders), the staff in Steakhouse and the Italian restaurant were frustrated, rushed, and lacked a high degree of social skills (never brought our wine or coffees, never brought the antipasto cart, just gave us a plate with some olives, eggplant and tomatoes). We brought this to the attention of our server and she shrugged walked off and proceeded to belittle and demean the server that was assisting her. It was so hard to watch. We never mentioned the staff shortcomings again for fear of having to see this display repeated.
