Please enter your review. I love to travel, beyond that I love to cruise! I have taken over 35 cruises and the worst was still great! But it was with some trepidation that I booked an Eastern Caribbean cruise on the Caribbean Princess for March 30, 2008, because I prefer smaller ships, and I try not to travel during the spring break ( this was Spring Break week in our area) period. I went ahead and booked the cruise anyway. Am I glad I did!

I was pleasantly surprised at how uncrowned the ship felt, there were plenty of deck chairs, pools, and public rooms, the only places that were congested were the buffet lines and at times the entrances to certain areas because of the photographers . The youth program staff and the pool security staff did a good job at keeping the children occupied and safe.

I traveled on this cruise solo, and being a woman I sometimes opt for convenience over price. Not this time. I flew in to West Palm Beach Airport , which saved quite a bit of money, even after paying the shuttle company's fee $65.00 fee to take me to Port Everglades. On the return I rented a car and drove from Ft. Lauderdale to West Palm, stopping to shop along the way ( there went the savings). Embarkation: I arrived at the pier around 12:30pm and was on board in my room before 1pm. I do like the fact that you can go directly to your room. I know the process was made easier due to my Elite status with Princess, but I did notice that others were being processed quite quickly.
