Just got back from a fabulous cruise to Jamaica and the Cayman Isles. We left 3/29 from Ft. lauderdale. Easy boarding and we were on the ship and eating by 12:30. Our luggage came a couple hours later with no problems. I shared a balcony cabin with 2 others and while a bit crowded, it can be done with little fuss. The extra bed comes down from the wall over the other two beds and that person does have to climb a ladder to get up. This was my 5th cruise, 2nd on RC. Carnival's cabins are much more spacious, especially the bathrooms but this ship was top notch! It is so beautiful, a true traveling city and the food was wonderful. We had the cafe right beneath us so I ran down each morning for delicious Seattle best coffee and took it back to our cabin for breakfast on the balcony. You can also get sweets and rolls from that cafe, all part of the cruise and no extra charge. The promenade is beautiful and full of stores and bars and that is where the parades are held for 2-3 nights- all very colorful and fun! My cabinmates went to the ice show and loved it as well as the Quest show. The late night comedienne is pretty lame and needs to be replaced. He was the only disappointment. Windjammer food was good and plentiful and one night we ate at Portofino's which I'd highly recommend for its' wonderful service and food! Very worth the extra $20..get the tiramisu, it was out of this world! Also the lobster and salmon on a stick. The main dining is beautiful, 3 decks high. we were down in the middle of the main floor and could see everything and it was so nice. Great waiters too! We ate in the dining hall also once for lunch and it as very nice. Jamaica and Cayman are wonderful, though distinctly different. We waited until we got there and then hired a cab to tour...much, much cheaper than ship cruises. For Jamaica, we paid $20 for a whole day tour with our wonderful guide, Hudson..ask for him as he'll be where you debark as one of the taxi drivers. He was wonderful. In Cayman, bring money as it's very expensive. You can pay $4 for a taxi, each way, and it will take you to the beach at the Royal Palms for the whole day. While there you can get food and drink and lounge chairs. Again, wait until you're off the ship and you'll see the guides holding up signs. We paid a taxi driver $15 to do the tour of Hell, rum factory, turtle farm and island tour and it was great. The ship excursions are so overpriced. There are plenty of tour guides so wait if you can until you're off the ship. We had fabulous weather too at all ports. All in all, a wonderful cruise which I would highly recommend. The only negative things were kids playing in the elevators, pushing buttons, price of the online service which I thought was high ($28 for 60 min's), walking/jogging track went right through people in lounge chairs, etc. so crowded. Spa prices were very high also compared to other ships.

Positives also include plenty of bathrooms everywhere and always very clean, beds very comfortable and food choices though they didn't offer lobster in the main dining this time, only in Portofino's. The solarium is wonderful for adults only too.
