Our room-We wanted to splurge a little, so we booked a room with balcony on Aloha deck- big mistake! Our rooms were directly under the pool area, and all we heard all day were deck chairs being dragged across the floor. Next time, we will find a room on the deck below, or make sure we are under the dining room or another carpeted area. The room itself was OK, fridge did not work very well, so our items were kept cool not cold. Bedspread run down, which is sad because it is the first thing you see when you walked into the room. Room had a faint smell of vomit, probably from previous cruisers...thank goodness we brought lysol with us so we could try to mask the smell. We also kept the balcony door open most all the time. We could not ask for a change of room, because we had our teens in the room next to us. I think they should do a better job a sanitizing the rooms before each new cruise.... Misc info- Common areas were actually pretty well kept up. On the first day our teens had problems finding available deck chairs. So many were being "saved" by towels for people in the pool. We would see chair sitting there with towels on them for hours, and the people never coming back to claim them. That is a shame.

Food-Hmmmm, pizza was not very good. Deserts were all of a "Creamed nature" Would have love to seen more fruit based deserts like apple pie etc. Or good old fashioned buttercream icing on something. Cookies were a little harder than previous cruises--almost over baked. Was disappointed to see that we usually had to pay for the icecream unless it was served with dinner. On Holland America, they have a daily icecream bar that is wonderful. Food in food court was pretty good, though reminded me more of an inexpensive Reno buffet than top of the line food. The traditional dining food was much better, and our server Ely was wonderful!

We bought Coke cards, probably didn't need to because we drank more ice tea than anything. We did bring a few bottles of wine on board and enjoyed them in our room. Ports-
