I feel I should give some background like I have seen others in the reviews do. My husband is a chef in a restaurant and I am management in a retail store. So needless to say we both work in the service industry so I may have somewhat of a biased opinion on things but at the same time these are only my opinions and not meant to offend other's opinions.

I have seen many others say that there were no options of things to do. I would disagree. Now the things they planned were not for me they still planned them and tried to appeal to the wider audience on the ship. Such as casino, bingo, and nightclubs, but it is not their fault this is not my cup of tea but they tried all the same. All over the ship you could see them trying to cater to a wide range of audience. Just an example the several piano players stationed around the ship. My DH and I went to listen to one in the atrium for a few songs, he was good but not my style so we walked around to the champagne bar area and found that pianist and almost every night went back. So NCL's stationed entertainment worked for us but not to say it worked for everyone.

As far as the food I personally liked it. But the type of person I am when I go to a buffet I do not expect filet mignon. I fully expect a buffet to have so so food because it is made for the masses and has to be made fast. But on that same note I can not complain about the buffet food at all. I also expected it to be greasy which in some buffets grease cooks it all but I was pleasantly surprised that it was no where near greasy. Now I did notice some saltiness like others did but again you have to think of what food item it is and how it may have had to been bought and stored to serve 2000+ people 7 days. But I guess that is me being too logical about it. Since the DH cooks for a living it also gives me more insight to how a professional kitchen runs and what an amazing feat they do on cruise ships. The buffet was not the only place we ate we also ate at le bistro and over all we really enjoyed it, I feel for the food we ate we would have spent 2 to 3 times more for the meal had we gone to a French restaurant on land versus the one on the ship so I feel the surcharge was well worth it. And when we wanted to make reservations we did not get to call them till about 3 pm the day before and were informed that all seating's were still available, so as far as the complaints about problems getting reservations we did not experience it.
