Traveled with children

Sail Date - March 16, 2008 Our party consisted of 2 couples in their 40's with 8 teenagers.(Yes, you read that correctly.) We had 2 balcony rooms and 2 inside rooms on the 9th floor. We left out of the Port of NOLA. Very easy. Our kids had a great time because the boat was filled with lots of spring breakers. They met lots of friends on board and the text messaging has not stopped since our return! All of our kids brought along a friend and it made meeting others very easy. Our party found the food to just be okay. We ate in the free restaurants plus Sho-gun. Sho-gun and the sushi bar were actually really tasty. Our kids really liked the Blue Lagoon for LATE night snacks! The boulignaise sauce at The Trattoria was also good. We enjoyed several evenings in the Pub listening to passengers karaoke. We also attended a margarita tasting and a beer tasting. Did not attend any shows. Played alot of cards. The first 2 days at sea were rocky and extremely windy. We loved all of our excursions. Roatan - booked Fins and Flippers through the internet. Awesome! A small boat took us to the resort 5 minutes away. (You could see our boat.) Several of our kids snorkeled and saw lovely fish. The rest of us hung out at the pool enjoying a great dinner and drinks. (The monkey lala drink is the best!) Nice people running it. You can rent your snorkeling equipment there. The boat took us right back to the cruise ship. We could have stayed all day there. Guatemala - Booked our tours thru NCL. 2 of us did the ruins tour. It was so interesting. A once in life time chance for us to see them. The rest of the group did the waterfalls. They loved it. Said it was an uphill climb though. Belize - We did the cave tubing with Major Tom. (booked through internet) It was unbelievable. Major Tom's son took such good care of us and we all thought it was the highlight of our tour. You must do this! Cozumel - Some of our group took a taxi to a beach and had a wonderful time playing in the water and sand. Everyone ended up at Carlos and Charlies. EXCEPT ME! The night before I was struck hard with the norovirus. It was horrible! Needless to say, I couldn't wait to get back to New Orleans.
