My girlfriend and I were on the destiny March 9th - March 16th. First let me say that is a fantastic trip, one of the best I have been on. This was my third cruise and my girlfriends first. If you are looking for a Hilton like trip this is not the ship for you but if you are looking for an affordable cruise and a great time than this is the trip for you. It is definitely not the newest ship in the fleet but the crew does a great job keeping it clean and looking good. All the staff were fantastic to us our waiter Ernesto and room steward Nat were top notch. All the negatives reviews seem to be nit picking all the small things. You could do this on ay ship or any trip that you go on. If you can overlook the small stuff you will have a great time.

Embarkation was fast and easy. We arrived at the peer at 4 and were on the deck in our swimsuits by 5 with a cocktail. We hung out there and met a great couple that we chatted with all week. Did the buffet for dinner and went to the sail away party it was great.

Food- We did room service almost every morning because we wanted to get of the ship right away to shop and to do our excursions. We would order sandwiches and bring them ashore for lunch. We had late seating in the Universe dinning room. Food was great always something different to choose from or if you liked something from an earlier night all you had to do is let them know.
