Great family cruise...

Sail Date: February 2008
Destination: Western Caribbean
Embarkation: Port Canaveral

Background: Myself (47), DH (52), DS (28), DS (26) ,DS (25), 2- DIL and one college buddy...

this was our 12th Carnival cruise....

Leaving out of Port Canaveral was great, I wish all the ports were as nice and as easy as this one. we got there by 11:30 and on board by 12:00, DH and I are Platinum rest of family was not, we went into VIP room took all of 5 minutes or less, they brought my DS"s right up to an agent, we were all done within 10 minutes, then a very lovely lady walked us right on....this was fantastic.

Lunch on lido deck with DOD by 12:00...life doesn't get much better....

Looked around ship a bit..went to check out DS's cabins they had verandah aft cabins...note to self-(next time I get aft)..there balconies were great and the view's were incredible.

Luggage was there right after muster drill, which was pretty fast, if everyone cooperates it wasn't that bad... back to room....nice balcony on verandah deck.....unpacked, More went to sail away, a little disappointing, not as fun as Miami or FLL but still away we go.

Late seating at dinner, must say though the worst table in the dining room, but the waitstaff was terrific, actually the best we have ever had, so every nite in dining room, food was good some nites. ok other nites..overall average.....but I didn't really care...I didn't have to cook or clean up... This trip we didn't do any shows, we mostly relaxed during day at lido deck, naps every afternoon, dinner and casino every night..Lina and Marwin were the best.

We would all meet at the Lobby bar for drinks be, just fore dinner, then walk together to dinner in the Platinum dining room...as I said casino after...DH was VERY lucky this trip..hit a slot machine for $13,500.00 we couldn't believe it...THANKS CARNIVAL.....

we went to Cozumel just went to the shops, stop at C&C for a drink than back on ship...DS's went to C&C for the afternoon, they had ablast....

Belize: we went cave tubing with cavetubing.com we had the best time, I would recommend this to everyone...took all day, then back to the ship...

Nassau: went to the Atlantis, booked rooms so we could use the facilities, we had a great time there, DS's loved the water slides ect... SEA DAYS: as i said really just relaxed, one day a passenger had to be evacuated by helicopter...that was an unbelievable sight...hope they were ok. all in all 5 passengers taken off, the others by boat.

We had a wonderful time and would def. go on the Glory again...even though we didn't do any activities we really enjoyed this cruise...well DS's did corn hole...and youngest DS won the black jack tourney...$500.00...

overall a wonderful time by all, the ship was in great shape, crew was awesome...one of the best cruises we have had....

I have a more detailed review with lots of pics in my thread: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=731947 Less
