Travelling to: Had a heck of a time finding New York, Brooklyn Hotel, on Friday evening in rain, rushhour and poor directions after driving from Toronto. Embarkation: wonderful, fast, asked for wheelchair assistance to embark. Service in the staterooms: Excellent. Staff Tony and Michele introduced themselves first day and after that, kept the room as we liked it. Even found a gold earring that I had misplaced and left it on the counter. Dining room staff seemed to be ever changing. It is my custom to tip the servers, even though it is included, but one evening, there had to be ten different people looking after the table. Never did see the original ordertaker, again. Service very slow in the Magenta dining room. Friendly and courteous staff everywhere and always had a smile or offering assistance. Casino: Too smokey for my liking. People would be lounging in the window seats, smoking and reading a novel. If smoking is allowed, shouldn't it be for the players, alone. I would opt for a non smoking boat, it they existed. One day I felt completely hung over from gambling the nite before. Don't drink, so it had to be the air quality. All in all, spotless ship, great staff, smooth disembarkation. Ports of Call: Loved the Bahamas. Went to relax and enjoy the weather. Didn't need the Caribbean or St Thomas, or Puerto Rico again.
