Costa Concordia, A Look Back Cruise Review by Gene Ray: European Madness
Entertainment was outstanding most evenings.
Dining service was good but not polished.
This beautiful ship just does not have the adequate social/public places to accommodate over 3000 guest - passageways were ALWAY crowded, all deck areas were crowded and buffet area was a mad house for breakfast prior to any excursions. Dining room had very limited space for entry and same entry area was being used by waiters to carry food. English was the last language and sometimes wasn't even used - you just assumed that no one was abandoning ship.
Internet service was a THIEF in front of your eyes - but the EURO for use continued while the process would just hang and not move. Service desk would not dare entertain any reimbursements for extremely POOR internet service.
Wine packages were mixed with bottles of water sales in different language misleading one on 4 versus 7 bottles of wine: Actually the package indicated the names of 4 bottles of wine and More indicated 7 bottles of "aqua" below the names of the wine.
Beautiful ports of call and great excursions. However, would not and will not do this cruiseline again. It was just too much European Madness........
Check-in process was several locations before boarding the ship and THEN you were expected to take additional time and REPORT to a certain location to register your credit card information - take a number and wait. Less
