We have always been avid cruisers and are used to going on the newest and biggest ships. I was not sure whether we would care for a small cruise ship of the Ryndam size. WELL, I must tell you that we thoroughly enjoyed this cruise, especially due to the size of the ship!

This cruise was booked as a restful cruise (no big excursions or bold shore adventures as we normally do). Coming off of a long 6 mos. of hard work, we just wanted to relax. With that in mind, we booked a Deluxe Verandah Suite, brought some books and hoped for the best.

Embarkation in San Diego was a breeze (at least all of the trips we have taken from this port so far). It is always great to get from the airport to the ship in just a few minutes. Do not arrive before 11:00 a.m., as you won't even be allowed on the dock. We got in a few minutes early, and had a nice coffee across the street at the Holiday Inn.
