Just back from an excellent week aboard the beautiful Gem!

Background: Traveled with my boyfriend and another couple, all of us are in our early twenties. I have sailed previously on Royal Caribbean and my boyfriend has sailed on Carnival. We were on the 3/8-3/15 sailing.

Embarkation: We took Amtrak from Boston to Penn Station, and took a cab to the pier, arriving by 12:30. Baggage check-in went smoothly, and we then proceeded towards the (fairly lengthy) check-in line. For reasons that are entirely unbeknownst to us, we were repeatedly directed to the Latitudes check in, despite the fact that we are not Latitudes members. We were completely confused as to why we were directed to this check-in, but the smiling check-in agent had no problem with checking us in anyways, despite being in the wrong line. Can't wait 'til we've sailed enough to be (legitimate) Latitudes members!
