Our Destiny Review- March 2-March 9, 2008 (be prepared it's long!)

We traveled as a family, my mom (mid 50s) and sister (mid 20s) shared a cabin, and myself and DH (both early 30s) had another cabin. Both of our cabins were OV guarantees. We knew we wanted an OV, really didn't care where it was at because we knew we wouldn't be on the ship that often. We were on the Riviera deck, starboard side, towards the back. This was the second time my DH and I have sailed on the Destiny (we also went last March) but my mom and sister's first time. Everything you will want to know about the ship is at the end of the review!

*Sunday, Embarkation-San Juan We flew from North Carolina down to San Juan on Sunday. We don't have to really worry about weather so we left out on the same day. We arrived in San Juan at 4:30 pm and made our way to the pier. We arrived at 5:30 at the pier. We took a taxi from the airport for $23 (there were four of us, we had 6 suitcases plus all of us had a carry-on). It's about a 15 minute ride to the pier from the airport. Once we arrived at the pier, we rolled our own suitcases in to be dropped off (no need to use a porter unless you can't handle it all). You will need to show your booking ticket info and passport before you are allowed to enter. We then had our picture taken and went straight to the counter, no lines, and got our sail and sign cards.
