Parking at San Pedro is not very good; we had to park far away and were worried that there would be no available spaces - cost $12 per day. We towed our luggage through the parking lot finally arriving at the baggage claim. We were met with a tirade from the baggage person at a small desk there when we said to the porter that we would take our luggage on board ourselves. The desk person said let them walk to far end and then just have to walk back up here and check it if they refuse to let you check it now. We were only asking. We checked out luggage. Boarding was efficient - no problems but by now we are already upset from the parking and baggage person. We boarded between noon and 1 p.m. - our cabin was available and was nice for an inside. Rather roomy with a nice size bathroom and plenty of closet space, drawers, etc. We usually get an inside cabin for Mexico trips as it is just (hopefully) a relaxation cruise for us as we live within 15 miles of the port.

The ship is pretty with two pools in the middle probably the prettiest pools I have ever seen - one covered and one open to the sky. There are four total on the ship - a small one for adults only near the fitness center and a small one on the back deck. The fitness center is fairly large with newer equipment but I heard complaints from early risers who could not use it until after 7 a.m. as there are cabins underneath. There are several hot tubs in different locations. There is a walking track around the top deck and a narrow walking track around deck 7 that is usually closed at some point.

Food was good, but not nearly as good as our last cruise on another line, but there was a large variety. Difficult to find non-fat milk. The buffet is open most hours and has nice seating. The outdoor seating is a walk though from the buffet so most people were eating inside. The restaurants were pleasant but the wait staff was not always so pleasant. Some were exceptionally nice, some were downright surly especially if you asked for anything they had to go get even if it was on the menu. We opted for freestyle seating dining - went about 7:30 p.m. asked to share a table and never had to wait. There is also reserved time seating. There had one sushi day - sushi was good. I didn't see an announcement about it though - we just happened upon it. We did not try the specialty restaurants. Some shows were good, some not so good. The comedian, Jim McDonald, was good. The musical programs were way too loud and sometimes we left because of the ear-splitting noise.
