We left Milwaukee on a lovely cold day and arrived in Orlando on time and much warmer. Picked up rental car and headed over to Cocoa Beach to get some lunch. We stayed at the Radisson at the Port the night before we set sail. The hotel was fine, the kids liked the pool area. Dinner at Rusty's and then to bed so we are ready to start our cruise vacation.

Took the car back to rental agency about 10:15 and then the shuttle to the port. We arrived at the port around 10:40 and were on the ship in less than 1 hour. I thought the process was quite efficient compared to Disney where we checked in and then sat around for over an hour to board. Our family had a big breakfast so instead of heading to lunch like everyone else we went to the pool. The kids had the pool to themselves for over an hour and we had the bartender so it was great. Our room was ready around 1:00 so we checked it out and went back to the pool. We had a hump cabin and loved it! The location off the elevator was great and there was no outside noise. Luggage did not come until after 5pm so it was a rush to get ready for dinner at 6:00.

Overall we thought the food was good. The portions were good and the variety was as expected. The Windjammer was the same everyday but that is fine with me. We switched it up a little and went to the dining room some mornings for breakfast and lunch and that was nice. Ate at Portofino's on Friday night (missed lobster night but okay with me) and the food, service and atmosphere was fabulous. Well worth the $20 pp.
