While the Century did recently receive an overhaul, they perhaps needed to do a little more. The staterooms were nicely done with flatscreen tvs, but people don't cruise to watch tv. The bathrooms were large and updated, but the pasta bowl sinks were difficult to use. The furniture on the balcony was worn, and most of the teak on the ship needed staining. One thing to look out for is the tile, especially around the buffet. It is very slippery, even when dry.
The food rated as just OK. The food service was excellent though. The staff in the main dining room worked exceptionally hard and deserves 5 stars! Too bad the same can't be said for the rest of the staff on the ship.
When approached with a problem, they either handed a form for us to fill out and mail in, or just passed the buck to someone else. A member of our party fell, and when we asked about filling out an accident report we were told we needed to got to the infirmary (closed at that time and if it was open it would have taken hours) or deal with it.
