My husband and I have cruised several times before on Royal Caribbean and Princess. We had heard positive comments about Celebrity so we booked our next cruise on Celebrity Millennium.

We live in Florida so we drove from our home to Port Everglades in Ft. Lauderdale on Sunday, February 17, 2008. The port is easy to get to from I-95 and it is a short distance from the Ft. Lauderdale Airport. We arrived at approximately 11:45 a.m. and we unloaded our luggage at the pier prior to parking our car. The parking garage was within walking distance of the pier. It costs $105 to park your car for the week.

Embarkation was slower than what we have experienced in the past. There were long lines so it took us about an hour to board the ship. Our statement was available so we went straight to it. We booked cabin 7180, which is a balcony stateroom. The cabin was smaller than other balcony staterooms we have booked before. The actual balcony was wider than usual due to the location of the cabin. This was a nice bonus! The carpet in the cabin was worn and dirty. Our feet turned black from walking on it throughout the week. The bathroom was an adequate size and the shower was slightly bigger than others we have seen. Despite the dirty carpet, the cabin was clean.
