Joined the ship at Sharm el Sheikh and straight into dining room.As the Celebration operates an open dining system you can sit where and when you want either by yourself or join others (great way to make new friends).Sailed that night to Aqaba and spent the next afternoon wandering around the place(ship provided free shuttle bus into town). Ship remained in port that night and the next day was the first of our 3 big excursions this one to Petra (fantastic) Next port was Port Sokhna for Cairo, second of the trip, mosque of Mohammed Ali,Nile cruise with lunch (and belly dancer!),then Pyramids and Sphinx (was offered 2000 camels for the wife - tempting! but refused) Last port Safaga for Luxor and the Valley of the kings, this was a very long day coach left the ship at 6:30 and not back until 10:15 but it was worth it.Valley of the king was good but Karnak was unbelievable! Next day back to Sharm and flight home. We had been on the Celebration before and this time was just as good, the food in the Meridian restaurant was very good although the Lido was a bit of a scrum at times especially for breakfast on excursion days (better to go to the Meridian where on those days they operate a buffet system. Cabin was just OK but the cabin steward was excellent and kept it spotless. Entertainment especially the shows was first class as were the lectures from the resident archaeologist. All of the crew from the captain down were very friendly and nothing was a problem for them. Overall a great holiday tiring but if you want to see the sites you have to put up with that. We have been on a range of cruise ships and enjoyed all of them some better than others but for friendliness I don't think you can beat the Celebration. Can't wait for the next cruise on the Celebration(the Baltic from Newcastle)
