Arrived at the port by noon and were on the ship in less than 20 minutes. Hung out by the pool while we waited for our cabins to be ready by 1 pm. Luggage was also delivered within the hour which was great.
Since we were 6 people traveling together, we went down to the Reception desk and made reservations for the specialty restaurants. The first night they were having a 50% off special which was a great value for the East Meets West Steakhouse at $10 pp. Although the food was good, being from New York, I wouldn't say that it was comparable to a 5 star top quality steakhouse.
The first port we visited was Roatan and I have to say, that I don't see why they even bother stopping here. This is a very poor island where vendors have to use candles as they don't have adequate electricity. We went to supposedly one of the best restaurants on the island (Gilio's) and they didn't even have running water or a toilet that flushed! Most of the time they have to use back up generators.
