Embarkation....wow...the process and the new cruise port are WAY nicer and easier....however, bring a sweater or a blanket....it was FREEZING in there! The process is MUCH easier though, as they call you in zones and you can go have a nice lunch of Mongolian BarBQ once you're on board!
The newly remodeled ship/rooms were very nice.
We received excellent service from our cabin steward, who made it a point to check in with us daily as well as the dining staff.
We were impressed that our Maitre D stopped by every table every night. The food was good. My table mates had challenges with the beef dishes being prepared medium...always showed up medium well or well done...but I order medium rare and was never disappointed. At lobster night, our lobsters were a little small and our server brought us more without us having to ask.
We had rough seas one evening, but the cabins are so comfortable and the nice flat screen TV's...we just relaxed and watched TV while the waves rocked us to sleep.
We booked our excursions through Island Marketing...I highly recommend them for Caribbean excursions....in this case we did The Stingray City on a catamaran...www.grandcaymancruiseexcursions.com ...small group....wonderful afternoon. And, www.jamaicacruiseexcursions.com We did the Dunns River Falls and White River Tubing....very nice...our guide was VERY informative....be prepared to tip and be prepared for aggressive merchants when you are done with the falls.
All in all, a great time was had by this group of 3 forty something ladies....we also enjoyed watching the Super Bowl on flat screens up on the lido deck!
