Voyager of the Seas 1/27/08

This was our 29th cruise. This was our fourth time on Royal Caribbean. We leaned that Celebrity cruises did not count for RCI (Royal Caribbean International).

We received a phone call from a neighbor who had been on the 1/20/08 sailing telling us that the Voyager would be late due to fog. We live in Galveston and usually arrive about 1 PM. Friends drove us to the terminal are and we noticed many lines of cars, not just inside the terminal area but on the main street, Broadway, and on streets leading to Parking lots. We later learned that people spent two to three hours waiting to be admitted to a parking area. We were dropped off about a block from the RCI terminal and approached what can only be called bedlam. There were no porters. We checked in with all our luggage and could not get rid of it. I eventually took out the big bags and found a porter.
