This was our first cruise and since I used this site, I felt obliged to share my thoughts. I did the transfers with Carnival but a taxi was probably cheaper and faster. It did take an hour to get on the ship. The first thing I did was go to Yusef the Maitre D to change our seating time, I requested 5:30 and when I got my card it said 8:15. I had children and that was not possible. He told me to give 1 day to work on it and he'd get back to me- he never did until I complained. They said that seating was not guaranteed and there was nothing available. Hence, we only ate in dining room 1 night- a disappointment. At first I was overwhelmed at the amount of "older" people pushing for the food etc. Not what I expected. Went and watched Giants victory and went to bed. Kids woke up a little wobbly so we gave them kids dramamine and they were good to go. First day at sea was a little chilly and overcast so we checked out the boat etc. First stop was Grand Cayman. We booked on board the Stingray excursion. It was neat but my 2 little ones freaked out and went back on the boat. It was fun (but expensive). In Cozumel, we made a mistake in not booking an excursion (tried to save some money) I thought I would just take a taxi with everyone to the beach but a lady approached us at the pier to do a Time Share walk through at a local resort and then we could use the facility for $23. 1 hour later I was snorkeling and there not much to see. We used the pool, had the complimentary booze and man made beach. Next time, we book excursion. Next we booked Snorkeling in Roatan. It was pouring when we got off the boat but went anyway. The lady that led the snorkeling was nasty although she was very nice to my little child who never went before. The snorkeling itself was not that good here- I only saw 4 different type of fish. We shopped the local shops near the boat- very poor people but I am "glad" my kids got to see how fortunate they are. Next to Belize. We booked cave tubing.com we read on this site. Yhony was entertaining but my families guide did not say a work to us in the caves. I would insist on getting Yhony or Jimmy for your tour. Next day at sea- great weather. All in all, we had a great time. I thought the food was average. there were not many kids on the ship so camp was not an option for my kids. Bottom line is if you go on this ship, you MUST book excursion if you want to do something. On sea day, the pool is too crowded with everyone on top of each other- get there early to reserve a chair. Good value
