This is a long one, but I tried to cover the trip in some detail!

The worst part of going on a cruise is the air travel! The first plane was like having an MRI! Let me out! The next plane was better. By that time I had relaxed a little. San Diego was beautiful! It was warm and sunny! What a contrast from the gray freezing weather of the inland northwestern part of Washington state. We laughed at the San Diego natives who were wearing coats!

My husband forgot a pair of cargo shorts so we took a taxi to Horton mall in San Diego (not too far from the ship). That was an adventure. Interesting mall, but not many shorts to be had in January, even though the temperature was 70 degrees! They seriously thought it was winter! Read more
