Arrival - My friend and I decided to fly down the day before the cruise in make sure there were no problems with flights since we are talking winter and hearing about the problems with flight delays. We stayed at the LaQuinta hotel right by the airport. Not bad. There is a nice mall within walking distance from the hotel.

Ship - The Legend just came out of drydock and we were the first cruise afterwards. It appears they added a mini-golf course and laid new carpeting. The ship is very nice. I was on three RCCL cruises prior to this and felt the service was comparable to RCCL.

Sunday (embarkation) - It went rather smoothly; although, Carnival recently upgraded their website to include the "Sail & Sign" information as well as the acknowledgment to the cruise contract. We had a couple of issues because we wanted to use separate means of payment. We were able to resolve this with the purser's desk with little problem. Like others, the passing under the Skyway bridge was very cool! Our cruise started a little late so it was kind of dark when we went under so the pictures did not turn out really well. Monday - Day at Sea - It was a lounging as well as exploring the ship day. I worked out in the afternoon (which I REALLY enjoy because the views are the best in the world).
