Sail Date: Jan 2008

My husband and I drove from Louisiana to Galveston, it's about a five hour drive. We arrived right about 1pm. Embarkation took a while even with checking in on-line and having the sail & sign before hand. But overall not too bad.

We entered our room about 3pm. We had a room with a balcony which was well worth it. I will book a balcony room again.

The food in the Windjammer was excellent. I can't find one thing to say negative about the food. Service was o.k. Had to complain about kids putting there hands in the food buffet. Parents just don't watch their kids. Only ate in the Dining room one night and the food was excellent. I forgot some of my husbands dress clothes, so we went to the Windjammer every night after that. We did book a night at Portofino's' and it was good, but not great, especially for $20.00 per person. I preferred Windjammer over Portofino's'. Service was ok. there too.
