Overall, DCL does it right. This was our second cruise, first on Disney, and first with a child along. We were upgraded from a cat. 6 to cat 5. Our stateroom was great, the veranda is the only way to go. Our overall feeling was that it was a much better cruise than the first cruise we ever took, but we do have some so-so things, and ONE HUGE NEGATIVE!!! We traveled December 22 through December 29, 2007.

We arrived the night before and stayed at the Port Orleans Riverside which was nice, although the front desk staff there, were rude and lied about several things ( my husband calls it miscommunication), this after a 14 hour plane ride did not impress us to start our first experience with Disney. I do have to say that the staff later that night were more than phenomenal. One of our bags was lost, and between the night manager, the manager on duty for the bell service, and one of the Delta Airlines staff at the Orlando airport, went out of their way to find our bag, and then drive up to the airport from the resort an hour away at 9:00pm to retrieve it.

Embarkation: was ok, we were late leaving the resort so we were later on the boat than originally planned or would have liked. The staff at the port were very professional and quick so we were grateful for that.
