This was our 16th cruise. Our Houston based retiree club hosted 93 people for a week on the Voyager out of Galveston, Texas. We had paid for the cruise a year in advance and got a deal that was hundreds of dollars less than the current going rate.

Check in was very congested. RCCL uses Terminal 2 which is not designed to handle 3,000 guests. That, coupled with the fact that the Carnival Conquest (with 2900 cruisers) was embarking at the same time made for a crowd of folks. I understand that a new terminal will be constructed in the future. Under the circumstance, RCCL did all they could do to get us on board.

We were blessed by most children being in school and only saw one incident of elevator play. Our cabin was comfortable and I will not go into details since other reviews have handled this topic nicely. The beds and bedding were very nice, however, having been replaced in mid-2007. The balcony was very substantial, not all plastic and glass.
