We flew in from Philadelphia a day early so we could stay in Hollywood. we rented a car from Enterprise at the airport and were allowed to return it to San Pedro right across from the ship with a free shuttle. We arrived at the ship about 12:00 pm and were on board within ahalf hour. processing was smooth and everyone was friendly.we went up to the windjammer and had a nice welcome aboard buffet while we waited for our room to be ready at 1:30. We went to the schooners lounge to watch the football game for about a half hour. and then went to the room all of our luggage had not yet arrived but we were already dressed for the warm weather. The ship was in very good shape and clean all over. The entire staff was very friendly. we are easy to please and have never been on a bad cruise. this was our third time on RCI but it was about ten years since our last trip with them. The food was excellent. the windjammer was the best for breakfast they served everything. i especially enjoyed the freshly made waffles with whipped cream and fruit toppings. breakfast in the dining room was good for eggs to order or eggs benedict but you should plan on sitting there for an hour. All the evening meals in the main dining room were fantastic. if you couldn't find what you liked on the daily entree list you could order salmon , steak or chicken anytime.as always you can have as many entrees as you like. or desserts! we had lunch in the windjammer and the selection was good.i would have liked a midnight grand buffet but there wasn't any. We had an outside stateroom toward the front of the ship. i really didn't notice the difference from midship except we had two portholes instead of a larger window.ther does seem to be less room stewards than before our room wasn't made up before 12:pm every day

the weather was alittle on the windy side for most of the week so you had to get in the sun to be warm on the at sea days.the weather on the port days was very good. We took a tour of Cabo San LUcas, went on an excursion to rock island at Mazatlan. and the beach at puerto vallarta. the water wasn't as warm as the Caribbean but great for january. The entertainment and activities were very good but if you like karaoke you better eat at he main seating or you will never get a song in. Overall it was very enjoyable
