I went on this cruise with my girlfriend without a lot of expectations, just an attitude of fun. This is the third cruise for me and the second for her.

Upon boarding the ship early, we were able to have lunch in the Windjammer room. Previous other posters were negative about this buffet service but I found this to be opposite. The large degrees of varieties on the food selections did not become a concern to us. The level of quality and tastiness is far above the run of the mill Hometown Buffet fares. It was such a pleasant relief. The wait staff does their best to accommodate your dining experience. Victor, from Chile, went out of his way to not only serve but also entertain us with stories and good tips regarding the ports of calls.

The Aquarius Main Dining serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Of course the dining event is reserved for dinner. The first evening was a time for the staff to size up the new diners on their tables and for diners to get to know their wait staff. Our waiter seemed a bit impatient with our dining table at first, which all of us felt that we were rushed to order. Even the wine selection felt short changed. I insisted on slowing down the waiter to our comfortable level. The other couple in our table that evening wanted to change tables or waiter. We, however, did not feel it was necessary, believing that the relationship is too new. The other couple brought it up to the section Head Waiter, Ahmed. At our table we debated for quite sometime. We all stayed. I'm glad we did because our waiter was aware of some displeasure. He got to know us better and made our relationship stronger. It became the center point of our cruise's warm experience. Ahmed, what a guy, he will go far quickly. He is sharp and has that thankless job of dealing with so many cruisers needs. He will know your names by the second day and smoothen any roughness.
