We loved this cruise, BF did not like decor but it doesn't really matter, that did not spoil a thing this was our 2nd cruise and both on Carnival.

We flew in day of from JFK to MIA, used Carnival's transfer which we signed up for when we arrived in Miami. The cost was $14 each and a cab was $10 each, no great savings and peace of mind. I had read on the board that is was a better deal to take a cab, but when it came down to it, it was the transfer, once you load your luggage onto the bus you don't touch it again until it arrives in your stateroom. The Miami Cruise Terminal was very nice, a little confusion when they were not handing out zone numbers but quickly fixed and we were aloud to board. We had our lunch on Lido, and began to explore and have a couple of welcome aboard drinks. Our Cabin 8457 was ready around 3pm, most luggage had arrived, we waited on one piece and it showed up about 4pm. Our cabin and cabin steward were GREAT! Other than the 9A wrap our balcony was larger than the other aft balcony's by approx 3ft. Lots of room out there and it did not affect the size of our cabin that we could tell. The ship was kept very clean, and we found this crew to be very friendly and most pleasant.

We don't do the many activities, we just lounge and eat on sea days so we enjoyed our lounge time. Our ports were San Juan, St Thomas, and St Maarten. I love San Juan but our arrival time 5pm is not so good for having a better selection of excursions. We had met our cruise critic friends on the first sea day so we met up with them around 7pm @ Senor Frogs, for a small bite and then back to the ship. St Thomas we toured with Sunny Lison, he is great and everyone should take his tour. He is a very nice man and his wife is very sweet, and they give a very nice tour. St Maarten we booked with St Thomas excursions for the Craig Cat. Don't Book with them for this excursion. I knew it was odd from the beginning, but I did it anyway. They did not know we were coming, and Craig Cats were not running. They made good by sending us out on a Jet ski adventure, but I feel as though we literally had our lives in our own hands, some of the jet ski's were duck taped together. Kevin had never driven a jet ski and they told him to head out toward those buildings and then we will catch up with you. We then followed the tour guide out onto the open ocean and we had no experience and that tour guide at some points was so far ahead that if any of us had fallen off we would have had to fend for ourselves and the ocean conditions were pretty rough. I believe the name of the dive shop that we started from was Blue Bubbles. We then went to Maho Beach and watched the planes come in from Sunset Bar
