My fiance (now husband) and I chose this to be our honeymoon cruise. After months of painful wedding planning, we also decided to get married on board on Sunday, Jan 6. It was a wonderful experience and one that we will never forget. We arrived in Galveston by auto on Jan 5, and everyone had reservations at Baymont Inn and Suites. Definitely not a positive experience: they called me at 7am that morning informing me they were going to cancel if I did not prepay (I informed them they had better not). When we arrived, they had the rooms wrong, and only upon threatening to cancel 6 rooms did they find a way to make things right. Everyone went to dinner at Landry's, which was excellent.

Embarkation/Wedding Day (Sunday): We had priority boarding due to the wedding taking place in the Chapel at 1pm. Although no one sailed with us, we used up our 10 non-sailing guest slots with family. We were to be at the terminal at 10:30am. We were allowed to board around 12pm, and I was taken to our original cabin (2256) to get dressed, while John (new hubby) was informed that we had been upgraded to a balcony (hallelujah!) and taken to that cabin. The wedding planners (not exactly affiliated with RCI, but somewhat) told our families they could go to the Windjammer and get drinks and food, which was a lie, and I already knew that, but apparently they did not. Because of the 12pm boarding and the fact that my hair was not done, the ceremony ran late and did not begin until approximately 1:40pm. It was a short, but very sweet ceremony with our closest family. After the ceremony, we were taken to the Seven Hearts Lounge on deck 14 for cake cutting and champagne toast. After a few pictures, we went to the putt-putt course and took some photos. Our family left soon after, and John and I went to the Viking Crown Lounge to have a drink while we sailed. After walking through the Promenade, we went outside, where the wind was blowing and walked around for awhile, taking more pictures. RCI was supposed to move my carry-on from our old room to our new one, but after several hours, it was not there, so we went to guest relations, and they gave us another key to the old room, and we went and picked it up ourselves. We went to dinner, where we were seated with 2 other young couples, one had been married 6 months and was on their "big" honeymoon, and the other was celebrating their 1st anniversary. After dinner we went back to our cabin, but my luggage had not arrived. It had disappeared due to the cabin change, but after several frantic calls to guest relations, it appeared around 11:30pm. We went to the show this day, but I don't remember if it was before or after dinner.

Day 2/At Sea (Monday): We woke up at 9, and decided to order room service for breakfast, but when 11 rolled around and they hadn't showed, we called and cancelled. We went to Johnny Rockets and ate lunch, mmmm, fries. The waiters broke out into a dance, and this actually turned out to be our favorite place to eat. After lunch, we roamed around the ship some, and went to try the rock-climbing wall. Definitely more difficult than it looks, John and I only got about half-way up. We planned to go to the show that night, but I wanted to take a nap, and he went to the gym to work-out. After my nap, it was time to get ready for our first formal night. Everyone really put forth an effort. Our waiter was very nice, his name was Rhondulf (Ron) from the Philippines. After dinner, we changed and decided to try for the karaoke superstar title with another couple from out table. The two wives sang, but we weren't entertaining enough to qualify for the big final Thursday night. We to the Vault, but not much going on, so after a few drinks, we headed off to bed.
