This was my first time cruising and I must say, I was a bit hesitant. I am used to traveling in a bit of style, Fairmont, W Hotel and the like and my sense was that cruises were just for people on a budget. Additionally, there were so many terrible reviews that I was truly concerned this would be a wasted vacation

Well, I was happily surprised. We embarked with little to no trouble. Being Concierge class is worth it just for this aspect, to get on board faster. As our rooms would not be ready for about 1 hour, we headed straight for the Aqua Spa. Getting our choice of treatments and times was of utmost priority for this trip. While I found the price of the treatments to be more expensive then it needed to be, we decided to jump in and just go for everything we wanted. In addition to massages every other day, we booked the Persian garden, which allows for unlimited steam and sauna. This was a highlight, as they were empty and we spent time every day in the steam, which was excellent, or lounging on the tile benches, reading our books, soo relaxing.

Our room was very nice. I did not notice stains on the carpet or bed spread. Everything seemed to be quite clean and nice. Fresh Flowers awaited us in the main cabin and bathroom. Fresh fruit was replenished every day. Ronnie was our stateroom captain and he was absolutely wonderful as was his assistant - friendly and helpful.
