Our family of 4 set sail on Jan. 5th on the Golden Princess out of Los Angeles. This is our 4th cruise, two previous on Royal Caribbean and one on Princess. I'll try to summarize our vacation in to categories. As I've read previous reviews I found it hard to imagine complaining while on a cruise ship but this cruise changed my mind (mostly because of the cold weather).
Embark and Disembark process - as many have said. Princess has this down to a science. Hats off to all Princess employees for a very smooth transitions both on and off the ship.
We have never been to L.A. and thanks to the miserable weather we incurred probably won't be back. Living in IL we take winter vacations to get away from the cold. Finally on the second day at sea it was warm enough to be outside on the deck of the ship. To Princess's credit they had a great line-up of events to partake in; which we did.
