Embarkation: Arrived at Port Everglades at about 1220pm only to be told by Deputy Sheriff at the Port gate that Princess did not want anyone near the boarding area to 1pm and to turn around and come back later. Conversation with another BSO deputy proved this information wrong. Arrived at dock unloaded vehicle with helpful dock worker and was sent across the street to Bldg 4. At Bldg 4, Princess personnel handed out colored sheets of paper to signify boarding order along with a warning flier that ship was being cleaned down and boarding would be delayed. We sat around, most people stood and it was clear that Princess land personnel could not and did not know how to control arriving passengers. When ship was cleared boarding was relatively easy and amazingly by the time we got to our room luggage was already there.
First Night Dinner: We had booked in early March and had been wait listed for second seating with a very high number, thus we became open choice diners. We received two sets of information , one being no reservations in open choice and that you could make reservations in open choice? The first night out some people were able to get reservations some were not it all depended on who you talked to, it was not a good scene. After the first night you could get a set reservation in the two open choice dining rooms. We ate each night at 8pm ( reservation) in the DaVinci and had a wonderful waiter and bus boy and as it worked out steady passengers around us, who we became very friendly. Princess has to work out the open choice issues either it has reservations or it doesn't. Food was generally very good, desserts were okay. Buffet line was always crowded and flow of line is confusing to many people.
Entertainment: Shows generally were good, did not waste time with comedian or juggler.
