This was our 3rd cruise with Norwegian Cruiseline and was very excited about going. Boy, things have changed. The food had to be the worst I have ever eaten(and I think TV dinners are pretty good). The first place we ate was at Raffle's buffet. We have always been able to eat at the ship's buffet but we had to rule this out real fast. It was like eating at a greasy spoon diner. We then started to eat at the main dining room but the service was slow and the portions were small. I order a fruit and cottage cheese plate and was given tiny fruit portions and a small teaspoon of cottage cheese. The only place we had good food was an Cagney's, but we have to pay $20.00 each for a total of $80.00 plus my daughter wanted an extra item and was changed an additional $10.00. With the tip, we paid over $100.00 for the dinner. We were so glad to be able to leave the ship early because the first thing we did was to drive to a Cracker Barrel and eat "good food".

The service was very poor. I did not meet our room stewart until the final day. Sometimes the room was not cleaned or the beds turned down. One day I saw a couple go to the reservation desk to reserve a dinner date and was told by the cruise person that the desk was closed. When the couple told the woman that there was 8 minutes left before closing(there was a clock behind the desk) she turned around and walked away saying that it was closed. The deck clean-up crew was very slow on cleaning the decks. I would walk on the 7th deck each morning and the tables would be full of dirty dishes and beer bottles from the previous night. On many days the man that was drying the ship's hand rails, used the same towel to clean the trash cans.

I was so disgusted with the service, I reversed all of my tips and paid those people that give us good service. These people should have to work for their tips.
