My wife and I just returned from the March 11th Legend (southern Caribbean itinerary). By far not a full review--just a few insights:

Embarkation This was our fourth Carnival cruise, the first one out of Fort Lauderdale. We flew down the night before from DTW via Northwest and stayed at the Comfort Inn on Stirling Rd. A very nice place with a free breakfast, (including made to order omelets) and just a short taxi ride from the airport ($11). The next morning we took the hotel's free shuttle to the port arriving around 10:30 AM. We were a little disappointed to discover there were already around 500 people in line. After some impatient waiting, we finally started moving around noon and were on the ship by 1:00 PM. The Check-in process was very smooth and well organized. We did fill out the funpass ahead of time, but I am not sure it mattered. When we came through, the non-funpass line was actually shorter.

Ship in General This was our first time on the Spirit class; our previous ships included the Ecstasy, Imagination and Victory. I thought the Legend was laid out well, very easy to get around. A vast improvement over the Victory.
