As a RCI diamond member and the second cruise aboard the Jewel,we found the ship in very good condition. Not the same with the cabin attendant , the service in the dining room performed by absolute untrained unfriendly eastern europeans. The cabin attendant, a young lady from romania was unable to make beds on any day. None of the dining room attendants knew anything about wines. When we entered our cabin the first time after boarding, the cabin was still dirty, the toilet seat broken and the cabinet door was held by a broken hinge. The food in the dining room was at the most mediocre , and the table service was very unprofessional, i.e. take one plate away while the partner was still dining etc etc. The Lunch menu in the dining room was the same for 8 days ( eight days).
Compliment on the Windjammer crew and chef Mr Rene Schauer. The food and choices were much superior to the dining room at all times. The service on the tables very poor.Again eastern europeans attendants which in packs walked by dirty tables w/o even looking til you called them, and not even then was it very productive. I am sure we will try a competitors line for our next cruise
