From Ohio, my wife and 19/13 year old sons and I flew into Miami. The flights were well scheduled and on time. Upon arrival we chose to cab it over to the port to get a jump on boarding . The terminal staff were quick and efficient and we boarded around 1pm.

The ship was impressive, in the style of Las Vegas. I enjoy the bit of over-the-top decor, as it is supposed to give a sense of fantasy and opulence. The room was spacious and held plenty of storage space for all 4 of us and my wife's 2 suitcases of "choices" of what to where.

This was our first Carnival cruise. We had cruise 3 times before on RCCL. I was pleasantly delighted at the physical makeup of the ship and felt the staff up and down the line was on par or better then ever experienced. The only snooty guy was an Aussie that worked at the excursion desk...he was rude to some people in front of me, who were inexperienced travelers with lots of questions. He good have cared less! Unless he was having an off moment, I would have terminated him on the spot!
