This was my first cruise and I used this website alot to help with everything from what cabin to book to all my shore excursions. I am 25 years old and was traveling with my fiance who is 30. We flew in the day before and stayed at the Intercontinental in San Juan. It was a nice hotel, but the food and drinks were very overpriced ($5 for a bottle of water) so we never ate at the hotel. We checked out the day of the cruise around noon and headed over to the cruise terminal. We got there around 12:30 and checked in. I found the whole process to be simple, especially since we had filled out our set and sail passes. We waited to board the ship until about 1, and then boarded. We went to the welcome abroad lunch at Windjammer and then walked around the ship for about an hour before going to our cabin. Our cabin was ready but our luggage wasn't there so we left. We walked around the ship again and then check back and our luggage had arrived around 5.

We booked the late dinner, which meant we ate at 8:30 every night. We thought we would like the later dinner because it would give us more time to get ready after port days, but after the 2nd day we wished we booked the earlier dinner because we were usually starving by 8:30 pm.

We booked this cruise in particular because of the itinerary. These were the islands we have always wanted to go to. The first stop was St. Thomas where we took a cab to Magen's Bay and spent the whole day. Taxi was $9 pp each way and to rent beach chairs was $6 pp. The second day was St. Maarten. We took at taxi to Orient Bay, which was $6 pp each way. This was my favorite beach, it was windy that day so there was some nice waves. The beach was so long we walked up and down several times and had lunch at a burger joint on the beach which was really good. We did not venture to the nudist side of the beach, but we did she a few (not many) people walking around nude. The third day we went to Antigua and went to Dickenson Bay. When you get off the ship here the cab drivers will fight over who gets to give you a ride. It was also dirty in my opinion. The ride there I was very scared, the roads are bad and the whole ride to Dickenson Bay looked like we were riding out to the middle of no where. Once we got there though, I calmed down. The beach was very quiet and peaceful. The main stretch of beach is dominated by the large Sandals resort. We walked past the Sandals to the very end of the beach and talked to a few retirees who spend the winters in Antigua who told us a little about the island. The fourth day (and last port day) was to St.Lucia and we booked the COSOL tour which I found out about thru this website. The tour was excellent. Cosol's brother Yellow Bird was our tour guide and he showed us all around the island and had several local grown foods for us to sample. I highly recommend this tour because it is very action packed (you see the whole entire island in 6 hours) and its a great value (only $50 pp). Cosol and Yellow Bird were both very friendly and knowledgeable tour guides.
