The cruise itinerary was to have been Los Angeles, Acapulco, Zihuatenejo/Ixtapa, Puerto Vallarta, Cabo San Lucas and back to Los Angeles. Due to what NCL called a leaking seal we spent the first night in Los Angeles harbor then they substituted Manzanillo and Mazatlan for Acapulco and Zihuatenejo. NCL credited $100 per cabin to the cabin accounts. They certainly must have saved a lot more than that in fuel. If you've signed up expecting Acapulco, Manzanillo is a poor substitute. NCL may or may not have been able to avoid this but it was a big disappointment.

The check-in for those of us who drove, parked at the terminal and arrived early was very quick. However, the only restaurant that was open was the buffet. I found it to be very basic in dEcor and just a little better in food.

We only tried one of the "extra charge" restaurants, Cagney's, and it was very good. But at $20 per person not something most people want to do every night. The Aqua dining room was the nicer of the two "main" dining rooms. But there, as everywhere, the food quality was quite variable. I personally do not like buffets so avoided that as much as possible. The Italian restaurant was a section of the buffet area that they screened off a night. There was no extra charge but you did need to make a reservation. The food was just below average and so was the service.
