First let me start by saying how much I LOVE cruising, but this was the most unremarkable trip I have ever been on.

It started with arrival at the port. We drove a rental in and dropped our bags at around 10:30 then dropped the car in Cape Canaveral. It was pretty quick to drop off the car, but took an hour for the van to come back and get us. He was hung up at the terminal because of all the traffic at the Mariner. He finally picked us up and we quickly learned what he was speaking of. We waited another hour in line just to be able to jump out of the van and get into yet another hour long line for security. Once through security we had to get into yet another line for our stateroom keys...this was fine, HOWEVER we then found out that the electronic documents that RCI provides aren't exactly ALL the documents you'll need to get onto the ship...booted out of line to "Try again" Filled out more paperwork, back into line another 40 minutes....finally keys! Whooo hoo let vacation begin....OH NO, another 40 minute wait to get your Bon Voyage picture....My patience were quickly disappearing. Day one of my trip and I was already getting cranky.

Finally the ship...I'm starving...it's now after 3pm...yes it took that long to get onto the ship! Up to the buffet...what a disorganized mess....Apparently I wasn't the only one that had no clue what was going on up there. There were passengers wandering around in the buffet area with a glazed look in their eyes babbling "I don't know where I need to go", while the more seasoned guests were shoving and pushing into lines to get food. CHAOS. There were no tables available, the food was mediocre at best and even now I can't figure out how the heck those lines are supposed to work.
