This is our second cruise and we took it because of good reviews for RCCL, the date was perfect, and the itinerary was great. We had no trouble getting from the airport to the ship because we had pre-purchased transportation and the driver was well aware of our ship. Embarkation was smooth and fairly efficient given the security enhancements in place today. Pre-printing the cruise check in documents made it essentially painless and we were soon on-board. We found the ship beautifully decorated and well taken care of. We did have a little trouble getting oriented as to for/aft and starboard/port. There were signs in some locations but they weren't very clear to us. Our cabin was ready so we stopped briefly to drop our carry-ons and then headed to the spa to book our appointments. We found our table for our 8:30 seating and then headed up to the pool deck for refreshments and to watch as we sailed off toward the bay. We attended the welcome aboard show before dinner which was nice. At dinner we met our other 6 previously unknown tablemates and out waiter and asst. waiter. Their service were superb and we fell in love with them from the start. The late night adult entertainment was mostly pretty good.

Dinning was a pleasure for us, mostly because of our two waiters, Renaldo and Andreza. There service was great, timely, and always with a huge smile. We enjoyed the variety of selections and usually followed their advice. Some of the food wasn't quite as flavorful as we might prefer, but a little salt and pepper usually did the trick. Our head waiter came by each night to check on us which we appreciated. We also ate breakfasts in the Windjammer which was OK and about what you would expect in a self service buffet restaurant. There was a nice variety including an omelette bar, fresh fruits/juices, pastries, hot/cold cereals, and the usually eggs/bacon/sausage/pancakes/waffles etc. The coffee was hot and plentiful. We only ate lunch there a couple of times and again it was pretty standard for a self-service buffet. There was also a snack food bar in the Solarium serving hot dogs, hamburgers, and pizza. It was OK if you were really hungary or in a hurry. We were VERY impressed with the emphasis on sanitization. Every time you entered a food service area you were encouraged to use hand sanitization. We really did appreciate that because illness could spread quickly and ruin an otherwise perfect trip.

The entertainment was OK. The ships in-house performers were good and we enjoyed their shows. Most of the main headliners were pretty good and would eventually get the audience to warm up and participate. The late night shows were adult oriented and mostly humorous. The sets were well done given the space limitations on a ship and the seating was plentiful on two levels. In addition to the "shows" there were other various activities offered throughout the ship and a varying times. My favorite was the Captains review of the ship. We sometimes had to choose and wished there had been an opportunity to catch some of them at another later time though. We did not use the casino but did enjoy the shopping even though we bought very little on the ship. Our experience with the spa was great! We didn't eat at the late night buffets having just eaten a short time earlier, but their presentation was superb. There was almost always some type of music playing somewhere so if you didn't like one you could simply move to another area. At times the music was a little loud though. The musicians in the "Centrum" were nice for relaxing too.
