After years of dying to go on a cruise, I was extremely disappointed to get to the port to find another ship still waiting to take off due to the fog. This are circumstances beyond our control. We got on line at 5pm and after 3 and half hours on line we finally made it to our room at almost 830pm. We were exhausted from the four hour drive and the long wait on line and hungry. We drooped our carry on and quickly went to the dining room at 9pm when the ship took off. After dinner we just went to bed. The ride was very choppy and I got sick. I was miserable the next day. We went for breakfast at the buffet and the lines again were super long. I felt there was chaos during breakfast time. I knew right then and there I would not be going on any more cruises any time soon. We stopped at Progresso and went to Corona Beach. It was not a pretty beach and many of the chairs were broken. The people in our group were mostly drinking and while having fun, some were acting so silly I felt like I was at a college frat party. We decided to go the flea market, the sellers there are very pushy. We made it back to the boat and then the next day stopped at Cozumel and went to Mia Beach. It was fun, a little too crowded so it was hard to do the kayak but it was fun. It was a much better beach then the one in Progresso. The next day we sailed all day. My complaints about the ship is the lack of activities. I found them to be boring. The entertainment left much to be desired. I was more entertained at the Karaoke Bar. More talent. There are lots of trivia games going on during the day that last for a whole 15-20 minutes and that is about it. That left only the casino to go and the pay offs are awful. I did not expect to get rich but i expected to at least make more money to continue to play for a little longer. I was bored. The movies on the TV were more entertaining then the entertainment on the ship. My second complaint is that they nickel and dime you to teach, gratuity for every thing. The drinks at the bar are watered down and very expensive. The best part of the ship was the dining room, the service was excellent, the food just ok. I will not be going to any other cruises any time soon and if I ever do, it will certainly not be the Ecstacy.
