Sail Date: Jan 2004

My partner and I had wanted to do a nice trip to the Mexican Riviera, and as we had sailed Carnival before, decided to give the Pride a shot... with one exception, we are extremely happy we did.

Starting out was embarkation. This went smoothly, over-all. However, our plane in to Los Angeles was late, so we didn't get to the port until 3:30 PM. And, the computer was down so the FunPass pre-registration information wasn't already in the computers. But, the staff moved things along nicely, and we made it on board (would have been quicker if some of the other passengers would have followed the directions they were given, but nothing Carnival could do about that).

We got on board, and had no trouble finding our cabin... was an extended balcony on deck 8. Room was very roomy, lots of places for things, and very clean. Did the boat drill (was one of the better life boat drills I've been on, actually).
