Let me start by giving you a background on our experience. My spouse and I have been on 9 cruises. 3 Princess, 1 Holland, 2 NCL, 1 Disney, 1 RCCL and 1 Dolpin (no longer in business). We are both in our mid thirties with no kids as of yet. We are also Floridians. This was also a little unusual trip as we ran into a freak Tropical Storm (Olga) in December. It changed out routing. Missed St. Martin but the captain which was wonderful got us into Grand Turk on the way back for a half a day or so.

Embarkation: We arrived later than we wanted at 130pm. Line out the door however it only took about 20 minutes to checkin and on to the ship. The ship was full. Parked at Park n Fly which is not such a good idea as they have small shuttles that don't run frequently enough as they also serve the Fort Lauderdale airport right next door.
