Very good well, most of it !
Destination: Eastern Caribbean
We flew from Gatwick to Atlanta, then on to Miami, so far so good, then we had a night in what is supposed to be a hotel The Red Roof Inn Miami, don't be fooled by the name, this is not a "hotel" it is rooms with beds and that is it, terrible terrible place, read my review on the other section. We embarked on the cruise from a very busy port, apparently the biggest port in the world, but all in all Carnival had it right we had to wait for about 30/45 minutes to be processed and then we were on board, WOW what a ship, we had never cruised before but this ship is fantastic, the place was spotless, the people on board were very very helpful from cleaners to cabin steward to casino operatives to dining room staff nothing was too much trouble. The food was good in all the areas we used. Carnival want to extract every $ they can, but as long as you consider your purchases I don't see a problem, they must have shares or own Diamonds International, they wanted everyone to visit the shops in More
every port visited. The shore trips were well planned, perhaps a bit expensive, go to the quay side and you will get the same trips for 50% less from the locals. There are a few things that could be improved, such as a few more no smoking areas IE In the casino, perhaps a couple of no smoking tables ? no smoking bar More quiet areas would also be good. All in all Carnival do a good job, IMPORTANT if you are flying from UK and staying in Miami tell them you will not stay at The Red Roof Inn CARNIVAL please look at this side of your fantastic operation, after all this is part of the holiday as well as the cruise. Any body want to e mail me please feel free to do so, if I can help I will Less
